The facility took out the best land lease living community award at the Land Lease Living Industry Association of NSW’s awards of excellence.
The awards were presented on October 18.
Association president Theo Whitmont said this year’s awards attracted an unprecedented number of nominations.
“This made for an outstanding list of businesses across NSW which are striving to deliver excellence in quality and service in our sector,” he said.
“Laurieton Residential Resort is a great example of a business focused on raising the bar in land lease living communities, with 5-star features like a state-of-the-art fitness centre, clubhouse, a library with fireplace and heated indoor and outdoor pools.”
The residential resort features sweeping views of the natural surrounds near Queens Lake and North Brother Mountain.
Resort spokesperson Sarah Garrett said the award was a feather in their caps.
“We are really excited to have won this award. Our first residents arrived in 2015 and we are about halfway completed with the resort,” she said.
We were successful because we truly recognise what active retirees are looking for: a fusion of quality, affordability, lifestyle and the huge attraction of our region.

“This industry award is a real feather in our cap.
“We were successful because we truly recognise what active retirees are looking for: a fusion of quality, affordability, lifestyle and the huge attraction of our region.
“Over 55s want to downsize but don’t want to compromise on lifestyle choices and quality. Our homes are spacious, elegant and modern but they are also practical.”
Mrs Garrett said the residential resort was also successful in creating a sense of community. This helps in residents being confident in socialising within the resort while having flexibility to enjoy their normal routine with the wider community, she said.
The third and final stage of the Laurieton Residential Resort will be released in the coming months.
Residents are drawn to the resort from the Sydney and Central Coast regions along with the Port Macquarie-Hastings region.
The resort is situated on Queens Lake behind Lakewood.
