NSW Rural Fire Service district officer Stuart Robb says he expects two fires burning near Kew will be contained by the evening of October 31.
One of the fires at Cluelys, Herons Creek was still out of control at 5pm. The other bushfire at Roseneath Road, Bobs Creek was under control according to the Fires Near Me website.
Mr Robb said the fires are creating a lot of smoke towards Port Macquarie due to a southerly wind.
He said he expects cool weather conditions in the evening will assist firefighters to bring the fires under control.
Mr Robb said there was no impact on the operation of the highway.
