A STORM lasting no more than 15 minutes left a trail of damage and thousands of homes without power on November 6.
The cell rolled in at about 6pm behind strong gusts of wind. There were isolated patches of hail and lightning strikes across the Hastings bringing down some trees and cutting power.
And no sooner had the storm hit, it was followed by a spectacularly beautiful orange sunset.
For thunder chasers and sunset lovers, it was the beginning of the summer storm season.
