Council is listening to our community and seeking input to help shape what a new aquatic facility for Port Macquarie might look like, and the new facilities locals would like to see included. Whether you’d like to see more lanes for swimming, diving boards, fitness and gym facilities or a family focus for spending time with the kids, now’s the time to have your say.
The survey will build on recent suggestions gathered by the New Pool for Port group, and council encourages anyone with an interest in the future of swimming facilities in Port Macquarie to complete our survey by November 30, at pmhc.nsw.gov.au/port-macquarie-pool
New Laurieton playground
Council has an ongoing commitment to upgrading our region’s play spaces, with Laura Place Reserve Playground in Laurieton next in line to undergo a facelift. A design concept has been created with proposed new features to include – a flying fox; picnic tables; more shade and seating; natural play elements like logs and rocks; and upgraded soft surfaces to protect the kids if they fall. So, what are you waiting for? We’d love your feedback on what’s planned and what you’d like to see included.
Go to: pmhc.nsw.gov.au/laura-place-playground before November 28, and have your say.
