The highly anticipated exclusive concert is free of charge for locals over the age of 60. Securing the Seniors Christmas Concert is a win for our seniors who will enjoy the benefits of a full-scale production and fun day out leading up to the Christmas season.
I encourage all residents aged 60 years and over to secure tickets early so they don’t miss out. I look forward to singing along with local seniors.
It is important, especially at Christmas time, for seniors to make new friends, get together with old ones, remain socially connected and be valued for their lifelong contribution.

Tackling child obesity
The inaugural Mid North Coast Regional Obesity Summit, focusing on healthy children and young people, will be at the Glasshouse on November 16.
This important regional event is a great opportunity for local health professionals and community members to learn how they can make a difference to the health of our children and young people.
More than one in five children in NSW are overweight or obese.
Children who are overweight or obese are much more likely to be overweight as adults and are more likely to have higher rates of diabetes, heart disease, bone and joint complications and lower self-esteem.
The NSW government is committed to reducing the rate of child overweight and obesity by five per cent by 2025.
Mid North Coast Local Health District is working with communities and government partners to achieve this target.
