There will be many different orchids on display with the Indian Dendrobiums taking centre stage with the late flowering Australian Sarcochilus.
There will be a range of flowering orchids for sale as well as many different types of foliage plants. This is the club’s 20th year hosting shows at the vineyard.
Organiser Greg Elliott said that back when the shows started at the vineyard, Minnie Mobbs was still alive and had many visits to the show, admiring the blooms.
“After her passing it was decided to make the Grand Champion of the show the Minnie Mobbs Perpetual Trophy with a very nice cedar trophy made and this is the major award given at this show now every year,” he said.
Entertainment will include tunes from the Black Magic Big Band. Entry to the vineyard is free with a gold coin donation to view the orchids.
