Their property needs some work in preparation for summer, and before they can consider their rebuild.
“Unfortunately, both Tom and Milli have suffered some serious health issues of late, and really need our support to get these things done,” said Lisa McLeod, president of the Pappinbarra Progress Association.
Things that are needed are:
- Tractor to push over dead small burnt trees ( approx two hours work)
- Chainsaw operators to cut up 4 trees on ground so can push into a pile for burning ( three hours )
- Pick up rubble around house site, glass and scrap metal
- Hook up water supply to shed, Tom has all the fittings for this
- Snig fallen trees away from the house site to windrow
- Wiper snipering operator
- Tow caravan to new spot, need air compressor
- Put up tarpaulin
The working bee at Tom and Milli’s property is this Sunday November 26 from 8am to 1pm.
Volunteers are asked to please bring their own protective equipment (gloves, hats, safety gear), and a barbecue lunch will be provided at the end.
For more information, please contact Lisa McLeod on 0418 220 138.
