Theo Hazelgrove from Camden Haven Community at 3 said receiving a small gift on December 25 can make all the difference for people.
“It bridges the gap between how they are feeling and something more important to reconnect,” he said.
Theo said a woman asked him how she could teach her daughters what Christmas was all about.
She didn’t have much money but she bought two small gifts, one for a man and a woman and put them under the Kew Corner Store tree.
“It engages the community as well,” Theo said.
“You don’t have to have much money to give something.”
Non perishable food items and gifts wrapped indicating the age and gender of the recipients are welcome.
For more information please contact Theo on 0438 358 057.
People have until December 21 to put a gift under the tree at Kew Corner Store.
