Max Wilson and Casey Thorton-Collins said they put off knowing their marks for as long as possible, as they were both nervous about their results.
However despite their worries both students got into their desired courses.
Casey has applied to do a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English. Max is planning on doing pharmacy at the University of Newcastle in 2018 and then doing medicine in 2019.
Max said he’ll be sad to move away from his home at Lake Cathie.
“I was born at Port Base, I’ve never lived anywhere else and so it’ll be a big change,” he said.
Casey lives in Hannam Vale and said while she will miss family and friends she is excited to move to a new place.
