The Bonny Hills couple said they noticed a female frogmouth make her nest in a black wattle tree at the front of their property. 

“Before too long we saw a little head pop up next to her and after a little while we spotted another baby,” Yvonne said. 

The mother and the two babies were then joined by the father. 

Yvonne said people stopped to look at the family as they walked past the front garden. 

“They didn’t seem to be frightened of anyone and they used to watch us as we walked out the front,” she said. 

Yvonne said unfortunately the family have now left their front garden.

She said they might have left to find a safer location due to storms impacting the Camden Haven.

Yvonne hopes the mother will return to nest again one day.
