Elizabeth and Greg Watson live on Lorne Road at Kendall and say they have limited mobile phone reception to make emergency calls only.
The couple said the issue started on Boxing Day and suspect the Telstra mobile tower might be down due to storm damage.
Close to 200mm of rain was dumped in a highly charged weather system on December 26, 2017.
Widespread power outages were also experienced across the Hastings in the late evening on December 24 when a storm cell brought with it intense thunder and lightning, strong winds and heavy rain.
Elizabeth said there has been no outage reported on the Telstra website.
A Telstra spokesperson said the company has been working to rectify a transmission issue which is causing disruption to mobile services in and around Kew.
“We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience this is causing and assure them we are working as quickly as possible to restore their services,” he said.
Meanwhile Essential Energy has replaced a transformer at Jolly Nose after severe storms hit the Camden Haven on December 26 and 27.
A lightning strike on Jolly Nose blew up the transformer that feeds power to the communications tower, disrupting television reception in the area.
