The outage impacted 231 customers in areas including Lake Cathie, Lake Innes and surrounding locations.
The spokesperson said the outage started at 6.06pm when safety equipment, on the high voltage network, detected a fault and automatically turned power off until the line could be patrolled.
“Power was progressively restored to customers as crews patrolled lines with the majority of customers having their power back on before 7pm and the remaining before 9pm,” the spokesperson said.
“A second outage occurred at 9.12pm, affecting 48 customers in the same area, due to further vegetation coming down over lines.
“Crews were quick to respond getting the power back on to customers before 9.30 pm.”
