Students and staff at the Camden Haven Community College in Laurieton have received a new facility to ensure they can ride their bikes to the centre.

A bicycle rack with storage for four bikes was installed under cover at the front of the college after the educational institution secured a community grant from the Holiday Coast Credit Union.
College manager Joneen Troup came up with the idea to install the bike rack, and praised the Holiday Coast Credit Union for their involvement.
“We have always had a very good relationship with HCCU and this is a great example of two community-focused organisations working together so that many people will benefit,” she said.
Joneen said people will now be able to enjoy the many benefits provided by the popular mode of transport including environmental by being an alternative to driving a car and economic through saving on petrol and vehicle services.
She said student and staff will be able to exercise daily and not have the hassle of finding a car park once they arrive.
The college is located in Bonser Lane, behind the Trinity Church in Longworth Park.
