How fortunate are we, as women in Australia with equality, opportunity and freedom to be able to enjoy a family, a career and to voice our opinions to improve conditions for all in our community, if we wish to make the effort and stand up for what we think is just and beneficial.
International Women’s Day is on Thursday, March 8 and I invite you to come and celebrate with other women and girls in our area with a breakfast at 7.15.am till 8.30.am at the Laurieton United Services Club.
Hear our guest speaker, Professor Heather Cavanagh, the Vice Chancellor of Charles Sturt University, Port Macquarie Campus.
We will enjoy a wonderful breakfast before many have to leave for work or school.
Tickets are available all February, at the LUSC for $20 and there will be a $2 raffle, with proceeds going to Australian women in drought stricken areas.
