Unit commander Ken Rutledge said the unit was alerted at 7.30am by a member of the public who said a vessel was upside down in Queens Lake.
Crew members Neville Adams, Tony Noakes and Ken Rutledge arrived at the scene and they found a 4.2 metre boat on its side and swamped.
Mr Rutledge said the embarrassed owner admitted they had forgot to put the bungs into the vessel when leaving the ramp.
“The occupants in the vessel managed to get up Stingray Creek at speed without noticing the problem until they reached the shallow waters on Queens Lake,” he said.
Mr Rutledge said at Queens Lake the vessel filled with water and rolled on its side.
The Marine Rescue Camden Haven crew of CH10 towed the vessel and its occupants back to the Queens Lake Yacht Club ramp.
The owner and his crew then towed the boat to a local marine dealer to assess the damage.
