Students dressed in red, created red heart art and formed an all-school love heart on the oval in support of the National Heart Foundation.
The Heart Foundation is a charity dedicated to fighting the single biggest killer of Australians – heart disease.
For over 50 years, the organisation has led the battle to save lives and improve the heart health of all Australians.
Assistant principal Robyn Bishop explained why it was so important to the school that they get behind such a worthy cause.
“We have two students in our school who suffer from a heart condition, so it is important to raise awareness for them and the community, and for general heart disease,” she said.
“It is something we want to make the other children aware of as well. Heart health is number one priority, so we teach them to eat well, exercise and look out for signs.
“They are certainly more mindful of how important it is, especially when you see one of your peers quite sick. It really hits home for them."
