His wife Evelyn and family Connie, Dennis, Marcia, Jase with partners, grandchildren and great grandchildren gathered on top of North Brother Mountain for a picnic lunch.
Charlie was born and grew up in Herons Creek and married Evelyn from Hannam Vale 67 years ago.
Charlie and his brother Ken built the family home in Laurieton in 1956, where the family still lives.
Having been a musician most of his life, through singing and playing guitar, Charlie was pleased to hear he shared his birthday on February 26 with Johnny Cash.
Charlie ‘Pa’ is a great story teller and family members all love to listen to his memories of growing up in ‘paradise’ when Laurieton was a small village.
