The off-leash dog park is planned at The Boom Reserve.
A recommendation in a report to the council meeting seeks to defer the concept for the off-leash dog park at The Boom Reserve.
A concept plan has been developed.
Visitors would park their cars on the surrounding streets under the concept plan.
“Following community consultation and further site inspections, this is considered to be a limitation with the proposal and is likely to result in traffic and parking problems,” the council report said.
The report said it was considered appropriate to defer the concept plan adoption until further investigations on whether off-street car parking could be provided or whether there may be a more suitable off-leash dog park site in Port Macquarie.
The March 21 council meeting begins at 5.30pm at the Wauchope Showground Hall.
