The Little Learners Group is a family run business that started in Yass several years ago. Its ventures in that area have been popular within the local community, said owner and director Steven Grundy.
“One of the reasons for the popularity of our centres is our philosophy of nurture, inspire, achieve,” Mr Grundy said.
“This philosophy helps us to achieve our fundamental goal of preparing children at our centres for ‘big school’.
“Plans will shortly be lodged with Port Macquarie-Hastings Council for a 165-place child care centre with great facilities for the children including, sensory gardens, large separate playgrounds for toddler and pre-school aged children, music rooms, art rooms and smartboard technology/learning.
Another major feature of the centre will be our state of the art learn to swim centre.

“This new centre will also cater to extra-curricular activities including sporty mites, mighty mites, music, language, a state of the art kitchen and commercial grade shade cloth covering most of the outdoor play space.
“Another major feature of the centre will be our state of the art learn to swim centre.”
Mr Grundy said the inclusion of a learn to swim centre was part of the business’s passion for child safety.
“A key component of this is to ensure that every child is water safe by the time they graduate from our centre,” he added.
The site for the facility is on 5167 square metres of land in the Rainbow Beach Estate.
Mr Grundy said the family run business is excited about the new centre.
