Investigations are continuing after a woman lost her life in Laurieton on Wednesday, April 11.

Mid North Coast Local Area Command duty officer Mick Aldridge said at about 5pm police were called to Laurieton after an alleged argument between a man and a woman near the Laurieton Fishermen's Co-op on Mill Street.
Police believe the 48-year-old woman allegedly jumped in the Camden Haven River. She was pulled from the water but died at the scene.
A 41-year-old man was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station. He was later released pending further inquiries.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the death.
Emergency services including Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton and NSW Ambulance also attended the incident.
A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
