Council told me then that a crossing could not be implemented, as it was too close to an intersection. 

Much later we finally got the refuge on the corner. As I had to cross the road to shop I would walk up to where the Commonwealth Bank was located to cross safety as there was a crossing there. 

Imagine my surprise when I read the Courier to learn that the pedestrian crossing will be implemented near the entrance to Coles. 

I am pleased this is to be done (at a huge cost) as I still have to cross a busy road. 

I would also like to inform residents that the chemist delivers everyday. I did not know this until I needed help.
