Officers from Mid North Coast Police District are reviewing CCTV footage after two Lake Cathie businesses were broken into over the weekend.
Inspector Mick Aldridge said at about 2am on Sunday, April 15 The Hope Shop on Ocean Drive was broken into after two suspects allegedly smashed a ground floor window.
Inspector Aldridge said on the same date at about 2am Cougar Cats Cafe was also broken into, as suspects allegedly smashed a glass panel to enter the facility. Police allege money was stolen, as well as the box it was stored in.
Police believe the two incidents are linked.
