Kendall players had a couple of early chances disallowed, but seven minutes into the match scored their first of nine tries.
A few players missing from the Blues line but still a great side featuring two new players, fullback Matt Hemsley and Nathan Murphy.
Kendall scored nine tries in total, scored by Matt Hemsley (two), Bayd Latham (two), Joel Wilkes, Tom Wigman, Kane Hedges, Chris Hanlon and Beau Kettle. Alex Pearce kicked nine from nine.
The South West Rocks Marlins never gave up and looked good in attack when they got inside the Blues’ red zone to score three second half tries, proving they have talent this season.
The final score was Kendall with 54 points and South West Rocks on 22.
Kendall Blues Man of the Match was Bayd Latham, Players player was Nathan Murphy.
The match was the Blues’ first home game and as tradition the ball boys’ jerseys were handed out. Ball boys for 2018 are Nayte Morales, Deegan Wallace, Joey Prosser and Gus Grieve.

On April 21 the Kendall Blues venture up to Long Flat to play. There will be a double header with Comboyne vs Laurieton followed by Long Flat vs Kendall.
