This will allow for the laying of asphalt on the eastbound lanes.
The closure will be from 6am Monday, April 23 and 6pm Friday, April 27.
The timing of the works will be weather dependent.
A detour will be in place during the closure, with traffic travelling east on the Oxley Highway advised to access Lake Road via Fernhill Road.
The west bound lane on Lake Road will remain open under changed traffic conditions.
“This is the final planned closure of Lake Road, and after this work we will move on to completing the finishing touches including line marking and signage,” said director Alex Fisher.
“We thank the community for exercising patience and understanding during the necessary closures, and are looking forward to completing this important project during May.”
The $2.4 million project will see the duplication of approximately 300m of Lake Rd between Toorak Ct and the Oxley Highway.
The work includes road widening to four lanes, kerb and guttering, improved pedestrian access, signage and line-marking, and an upgrade to telecommunications, lighting and stormwater.
