A part of the celebrations residents were treated to Greek entertainment, dancing and a themed menu.
Seven employees were acknowledged for giving 50 years of service to residents and clients at Whiddon Laurieton, to help enrich the lives of many in the community.
Three staff members were recognised for 10 years of service, and four staff members for five years of service.
The pins which they received acknowledged their commitment and contributions to aged care services in Laurieton.
Whiddon Laurieton director care services George Fotoulis congratulated the staff members on their contributions to Whiddon and the community.
“Our people are at the very heart of our organisation and go out of their way to enrich the lives of our residents every day,” he said.
“It’s important that we recognise them and celebrate their achievements.
“I am delighted and honoured to present these pins.”
