Tennis player Kevin Fisher said when he retired in Laurieton 26 years ago he took up tennis for the first time and he still plays three times a week.
Kevin was a state level basketballer in his youth and he said a person is never to old to start something new.
Other seniors at the Laurieton Tennis Club have been playing all their lives. Between them, they have 500 years of playing experience on the courts.
The players have also been involved with working bees, served on the committee and been part of other activities which go into running the club.
If people are interested in joining the club please make contact through the Laurieton Tennis Club Facebook page or via the website.
