Kelsey Cotterell, Carla Krizanic, Rebecca van Asch and Natasha Scott won the gold in the women's fours lawn bowls event.

In 1990 it was the first time that Australian women had won a gold medal in lawn bowls.
It was the last time a gold medal had been won in the women’s four event until this year.
Daphne said she had tears in her eyes and was absolutely ecstatic for the team.
Daphne was invited to the 2018 Commonwealth Games to work as a volunteer in press operations. She spoke to the media to ensure the lawn bowls terminology would be accurately published.
When Daphne returned home from the Commonwealth Games in 1990 she was treated to a massive celebration, where 2000 people lined Bold Street in Laurieton to cheer her on.
Four hundred green and gold scones were baked especially for the occasion.
“I felt like the queen,” Daphne said reflecting on the occasion.
When Daphne won back in 1990 the average age of women competitors was 54-years-old, whereas now it is 28-years-old.
She said this signifies the sport is becoming more popular with the younger generation.
Daphne played for NSW for 15 years before she retired.
