It was a moving Dawn Service at the Laurieton United Services Club to honour all those past and present who have given their service in wars, in defence of freedom and justice.
Anzac Day is on every year on April 25 to commemorate the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli in 1915.
Wreaths were laid by a number of community members and dignities to pay respects to those who have lost their lives during war service.

Laurieton RSL president Budgie Parrott read the Ode.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Laurieton RSL vice president Mark Heydon delivered the Anzac Day Dedication.
“At this hour, upon this day, ANZAC received its baptism of fire and became one of the immortal names in our history,” he said.
“We, who are gathered here think of our comrades who went with us to the battle fields of war but did not return.
“We feel them near us in spirit.
“We wish to be worthy of their great sacrifice.
“Let us therefore once more dedicate ourselves to the service and ideals for which they died.
“As dawn is even now about to pierce the night, so let their memory inspire us to work for the coming new light in the dark places of the world.
“We will remember them.”
Laurieton RSL vice president Joy Smith delivered the prayer of thanksgiving where she spoke about the sacrifice of the first Anzacs including Australians, New Zealanders and the generations of men women, children who have died in the course of liberty and peace.
“Remember those who still bear the physical and mental scars of their service.
“Help us remember windows , girlfriends, parents, orphans and all those who have waited in vain for the return of their loved ones.
“Save us from ever glorifying the horror and tragedy of war.”
