Camden Haven residents of all ages and backgrounds came together on April 25 to pay tribute to service men and women who have made sacrifices, to ensure a brighter future for generations to come.

Kendall RSL branch president Lance Gainey said unfortunately the dawn service was ‘washed out’ due to rain and as a result the service moved inside the Kendall School of Arts Hall.
Mr Gainey said about 150 people turned up to the dawn service.
“Normally we get about 300 to the dawn service but numbers were down due to the inclement weather,” he said.

Mr Gainey said the dawn service has only been running in Kendall for about four years and he praised those who continue to attend.
Unfortunately for the march in Kendall was called off due to the weather. The main service was in the hall and a minute’s silence started the commemoration.
Camden Haven High School students Paiton Wilkinson and Tom Lewis delivered their address to the community at the service.
The Kendall RSL gifted Camden Haven High School, Kendall Public School, Kendall Preschool and the Kendall Services and Citizens Club an Australian Flag as a thank you.
Mr Gainey said over 40 wreaths were laid at the service.
The Abide by Me hymn was sung by Betty Boyd.
Advance Australia Fair was sung by Olivia Stevens Seers from Camden Haven High School.
