Port Macquarie-Hastings Council wants people to give their say on a draft plan to help set a clear direction for the future of the popular seaside village.
Council director Jeffery Sharp said the plan could not have been developed without the input from local residents.
“The best way to ensure our towns and villages continue to grow, while maintaining their unique local culture is to work with the local community on a collective vision and blueprint for the future,” he said.
“The ideas put forward so far have been outstanding.
“We’re now inviting the wider community to head down, take a look at the draft plan and let us know what you think.”
Mr Sharp said council thanked the Bonny Hills Progress Association and local residents for their input so far and staff look forward to seeing everyone at the fun day for a great day out.
The Bonny Hills Community Plan is a pilot for future plans to be developed in other communities across the region.
Mr Sharp said the plan is designed to ensure aspects of a community such as its character, lifestyle, urban amenity, social image, economy and environment are maintained, and can be further developed in the future.
