Each team through the Camden Haven Eagles Junior Rugby League joined together with the opposition club and signalled the shoosh sign to help encourage positive parent, coach and spectator behaviour on the sidelines.
A club spokesperson said Camden Haven Junior Rugby League is a big supporter of the meaning behind the campaign “shoosh”.
“Many clubs including Camden Haven Eagles experience weekly sideline behaviour hurdles,” she said.
“It’s a reminder to coaches, parents and spectators that it’s a junior competition and positive behaviour should be the main priority when visiting away and home games.
“We need to teach these juniors to have fun while playing NRL and enjoy watching these juniors engage in tackles and team play each week with positive cheering from the sidelines.
“This also includes our club officials and referees, as they deserve respect and kind behaviour during games and off the field.”
The Camden Haven Eagles Junior Rugby League will continue each week at every game to promote the message.
