Bruce Porter Reserve toilet block damaged

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is concerned about the repeated damage to a toilet block at Bruce Porter Reserve at Laurieton.

A council spokesperson said the alleged perpetrators have set fires, ripped out bollards, broken toilets and damaged hand basins.

“This behaviour is just not acceptable and it’s the community which ultimately has to pay for the destruction,” he said.

The spokesperson said an estimated $30,000 has already been spent to repair the damage at the site. This is money which could be invested into roads, sporting facilities, parks and other community facilities.

He said there have been also been reports of vandalism at the new Laurieton Oval park.

If you have any information which might assist the investigation please call Laurieton Police on 6559 9044.
