”Detailed planning, design and environmental assessments are currently in progress,” he said.
“Once all pre-planning has been completed, construction of the new boating facilities is expected to commence in early 2019.”
Laurieton’s Bruce Porter Reserve and Dunbogan Reserve will each get a two-lane boat ramp and pontoon.
The projects were successful through the state government’s Boating Now Program round two.
The state government is providing $570,000 to the two projects.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is contributing $520,000.
A Laurieton resident told the Camden Haven Courier in January, that while he is pleased the Camden Haven has received funding for a boost to boating facilities, there is not enough infrastructure in place to support them.
A spokesperson said the construction of a car park at Bruce Porter Reserve would be subject to additional funding.
He said there is already parking a lot of parking facilities at locations near the reserve including on Tunis Street.
The council spokesperson said the parking spaces at Dunbogan Reserve are set to be upgraded with new line markings and signage for user improvement.
