Last week the general manager and I met with the colleagues from Bellingen and Kempsey councils at the inaugural meeting of the Mid North Coast Joint Organisation.
The MNCJO is a new way of collaborating with other regional councils and the state government, and means we will be working closely to focus on issues that impact the Mid North Coast.
Since commencing as mayor, I have seen the value in building partnerships first hand. Strong working relationships with our community, local industry and all levels of government are critical in delivering great outcomes for our community now, and in the future.
I’m proud to be involved in any initiative that delivers better outcomes for our growing region, so we can ensure it remains an attractive place to live, work, play and invest.

Customer Experience – Have Your Say
When I’m out and about in our community I often receive feedback on council’s level of service – what we’re doing well, and what could be improved.
We live in such a fast moving society, and expectations of how people interact with all types of businesses is changing. We want to improve our customer service processes so when you deal with council you get the best experience.
We have a project underway that aims to gain a greater understanding of you, and how you would like to interact with us, to ensure we continue to provide a quality customer experience and meet your future expectations.
We’ve created a short survey which I encourage you to complete. Your input is really important, so let us know what you think on our website before 5 July at haveyoursay.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/Improving-our-Customers-Experience.
