On the back of winning the minor and major premiership for the Hastings League in 2017, the Kendall Blues are gearing up for their 40th anniversary next year.
The Kendall Blues first entered the Hastings League competition back in 1979.
But before those celebrations begin the Blues are set to make the 39th year count, with a strong presence across the paddock with seven players in total making the winning Bush Representative team.
Captain-coach Beau Kettle could not ask for more from the boys with the majority of last year’s winning team returning with some new young guns coming along.

Last Saturday the Blues ventured up to Smithtown to take on the Lower Macleay Magpies. A minute's silence was held before the start of the game to show respect for the passing Beau Wilson's Nan, Margaret Wilson and Noelene Marr, aunty of Josh Button.
The Magpies are always strong on their home turf and they were not going to give the Blues an easy win.
Tomati Wigman and Bayde Latham both crossed over twice, with Jahbe Latham and Jed Seymour one a piece.
Alex Pearce converted three times, and Tomati Wigan notched up two conversions.
The Magpies gave 100 per cent to the final whistle blow.
The final score was Kendall Blues 36 to Lower Macleay Magpies 18. Man of the Match was the Blue’s very own Robert ‘Smokey’ Smith. Following the game everyone had great afternoon at the Smithtown Club.
This coming Saturday is the Kendall Blues annual double header held at the Kendall Blues home grounds.
The Kendall Blues have always been strong supporters of the local rugby league juniors, with many of the players volunteering their times as coaches.

This year’s double header will be kicked off with some local junior rugby league games starting at 8.30am.
First game of the seniors is Laurieton Stingrays versus the Comboyne Tigers kicking off at 1.30pm, then followed by the Kendall Blues taking on Long Flat Dragons.
Both games are set to be nail biters to the end.
The Hasting's competition is very strong this year; it’s still anyone’s game.
