The littlest Blue will be front and centre this weekend as the Kendall Blues put their hearts on their sleeves for a double header weekend. 

Traditionally the Kendall Blues support individuals that may need a helping hand, and this year the club’s will support their little’s Blue, Rory Turnbull, who decided to make his entry into the world eight-weeks early and has been fighting hard ever since. 

While premature, Rory is getting stronger and healthier every day but with a team like the Kendall Blues behind him he is sure to be a winner.

Ronald McDonald House Newcastle and Kookaburra Cottages have been staple organisations for Aimee and Arnold Turnbull, providing accommodation for the couple while Rory was being treated at John Hunter Hospital. 

The couple would like to thank John Hunter Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staff for not only their amazing care of Rory but the amazing support they offered during some pretty tough times, as well as to their current medical team of specialists and allied health providers at Port Base Hospital and John Hunter Hospital.

Following the double header everyone is invited back to Kendall Club where the Kendall Blues ‘Old Boy's Club’ will be holding an auction to raise funds for Aimee, Arnold and Rory and premature babies of Australia.

Tony Kennedy, Tony Beauchamp, Harry Bell and James Palmer have been working on getting the Kendall Blues ‘Old Boys Club’ up and going.

The club would love to have the old boys to celebrate the Kendall Blues 40th year next year. Emma Dykes, a local country singer starting to make big waves will be performing from 7pm.  Emma will be performing hits from her debut album including eight original tracks that put stories and life lessons into melodies and a piano acoustic cover of the much loved Burn For You. 

Can’t make the auction?

Support premature babies by purchasing a ticket in the Blue’s mega raffle draw. Tickets will be sold and drawn at the June 30 game. 

There are eight prize packs up for grabs including prizes such as a two-night stay at Ramanda at Flynns Beach, Bago Vineyard Maze family pass, breakfast and dining vouchers, and home and body gift packs.
