With predictions of further rain to fall - including the chance of some storms in the early hours of Tuesday morning - we could see some more records broken.
Weatherzone meteorologist Kim Westcott more rain will continue to fall throughout Monday night and up to around midday on Tuesday.
"We are looking at anything between 10 to 20mm of more rain to fall through to Tuesday lunch time," she said.
"This will be consistent rainfall too which could develop further into storms.
"The rainfall is due to a low pressure trough that developed over central Queensland on the weekend just dipping down into NSW.
"That low is now hanging around the north east corner of NSW and will eventually move offshore by Tuesday."
