Pat was one of the first people who showed up at Laurieton Public School hall to get a bargain at the Rotary Club of Laurieton’s book sale on Thursday, July 12.
By 9.30am she already had two bags full of books and had begun filling up a third.
Rotary Club of Laurieton president Barbara Jackson said the sale took half a day to set up.
Rotarians have been meeting regularly for working bees to help categorise donated books from the community.
Barbara said the sale was popular during the school holidays, as people were keen to purchase books, games and puzzles to keep their children busy.
There are the book sale regulars, Barbara said who donate books and then keep coming back to buy more.
The sale is on from Thursday, July 12 from 9am until 3pm. The sale ends at 12pm on Wednesday, July 18.
