Louise will volunteer at the 2018 Ekam Yoga Festival at The Francis Retreat, Bonny Hills on September 15 and 16.
She has volunteered in the past and said it’s a great experience to be involved in a community event.
Louise said the festival encompasses a relaxed atmosphere and everyone is really cheerful.
In 2018 the festival has attracted presenters and attendees from across the Mid North Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney and Brisbane.
Event organiser Denis Juelicher is excited the festival’s popularity has attracted both locals and participants from outside the region.
“Ekam Yoga Festival has grown so much over the last four years,” she said.
“For the first time, the festival will run all day Saturday and Sunday with more classes, family activities and time to explore the Natural Living Expo.”
With the expansion of classes and participants, Ms Juelicher said more volunteers are needed during the two-day festival.
Volunteers with a range of skills from set-up and ushering to customer service to audio and video are needed. Each volunteer will be allocated specific shifts. When volunteers are off-duty, they can enjoy festival sessions and the free activities in the grounds.
Festival buzz has spread quickly within the region. Early ticket sales indicate that participants from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour will visit the Port Macquarie area for the weekend.
“Ekam Yoga Festival is an event that attracts people who care about healthy living to this region,” Ms Juelicher said .
“The Hastings has incredible potential to become a wellness destination for tourists looking not only for a place of natural beauty but also for activities that support a healthy lifestyle.”
Volunteering opportunities are available and tickets are on sale. A variety of tickets are available and are priced from $90. Accommodation is available onsite.
