There were three fires across the Mid Coast yesterday, Thursday July 19.
Two were landholder hazard reductions that escaped, one at Jones Road in Byabarra across 177 hectares, and one at Ballengarra, on Myall Scrub Creek Road, across 110 hectares.
There was also a roadside ignition at Toms Creek Road in Ellenborough, across 100 hectares.
“These fires are now under control,” said a spokesman for the NSW RFS.
“But it is a timely reminder to the community of how dry conditions are across the Mid Coast.
“If you are considering undertaking hazard reduction work on your property, make sure you have made all necessary preparations and you are aware of the conditions,” he added.
