The community is invited to support the Can Too fundraising effort through attending a premiere movie screening in Laurieton.

Member for Port Macquarie and Can Too Foundation supporter, Leslie Williams said the foundation has raised over $20 million for research, prevention, care and control of cancer.

“Earlier this year our local Can Too running group raised $14,593 by competing in the SMH Half Marathon.

“Fifteen locals are now training hard for the Blackmores 10km Bridge Run on September 16 to help raise even more money.”

“I know from personal experience just how many people are touched by cancer, so anything you can do to help this worthwhile cause is very welcome.”

The Christopher Robin movie will screen at the Laurieton Plaza on Thursday, August 30 at 5.30pm.

“With the great support of the team at the Laurieton Plaza Cinema and with the help of the Disney Corporation, locals can see the amazing new film Christopher Robin before anyone else,” Mrs Williams said.

“Tell everybody, bring your friends for what promises to be a fun night supporting a fantastic charity.”

Drinks and canapes will be provided from 5.30pm and the movie screens at 6.30pm. Children will receive a free choc top.

Tickets are available at www.ticketebo.com.au/cantoomovie  or by phoning 6584 0977.

An adult ticket is $30 and children (under 18-years-old) $25.
