The event is part of the weekend-long celebration of the community’s past, present and future.
Bonny Hills Progress Association president Roger Barlow said the Gala Dinner would be a highlight of the Back to Bonny’s event, which is part of the wider region’s 2018 Bicentenary celebrations.
“Tickets are now on sale with places strictly limited, so get in quick to secure your spot for a sumptuous dinner at the Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Club,” he said.
“The evening will provide a special opportunity to connect with long-standing locals, new residents and those who hold the beautiful town of Bonny Hills close to their heart.
“We invite locals and visitors alike to come and enjoy a night of mouth-watering food, great company, historical displays and engaging speakers including Birpai traditional owner John Heath, club president Peter Smith, and a ‘celebrity newbie’.”
The event will be hosted by ABC radio presenter and proud local Fiona Wyllie and feature a monster raffle with more than $2000 in prizes up for grabs.
A special historical showcase has been assembled, with a variety of photos and video footage of the area’s rich past.
Tickets are $70 and include a three course meal from the much-loved Fat Fish and two beverages of choice.
Doors open from 5.30pm, giving everyone plenty of time to share their favourite memories of Bonny Hills.
Back to Bonny’s is proudly presented by the Bonny Hills Progress Association, Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
