Coach Shanene Matthews said the team played against Group 2 and the half time score was 14-0, with Group 3 in the lead.
At the half time chat, the girls were told to focus on their communication to defend their lead.
“The players went back out on the field with a positive mind set,” coach Shanene said.
“The girls went out and displayed great defence, with strong communication between players.
“They scored three more tries to notch up 26 points - nil.”
Shanene said Group 2 didn't give up fighting for the whole game and with three minutes of the game left, the team scored points on the board and converted to make the final score 26-6.
Shanene said it was a great experience and opportunity for the girls to represent their area.
“They build confidence in their ability and gain experience from going up against the best of the best from each area,” she said.
