Wall Reserve at North Haven and Herons Creek Reserve are both scheduled for upgrades. 

Key objectives for the North Haven park include to improvements to the playgrounds' sense of entry, increased seating, connection of the existing bike path to create a loop and upgrade of equipment.

Herons Creek Reserve’s key objectives include more shade, seating and upgraded equipment. 

Initial ideas for the park at North Haven include the addition of timber seating platforms, scramble rock boulders, free play log climbing, a stainless steel pipe mound slide and a quin swing (five seats). 

Lakewood resident Julie Fowler says she is looking forward to the upgrade of North Haven Wall Reserve’s playground.

Julie is grandmother to cousins Matilda Maniago and Ella Barklimore, who are both three-years-old. She visits Wall Reserve at North Haven at least once a week. 

Playground upgrades were recently completed at Laurieton Oval. 

Upgrades to the existing playground at the Lake Cathie Foreshore Reserve will get underway in mid-October.

The upgrade will include accessible play elements including a wheelchair accessible carousel.

A new play unit, balancing beams, ropes and park furniture will also feature. 

Herons Creek Reserve playground draft designs are open for community feedback until Friday, September, 21. Wall Reserve playground will be open for feedback until Friday, October 5.
