More than 100 people gathered for the celebration on Saturday.
Family groups, former school friends and some of the current student population along with a number of visitors enjoying the chance to catch up on their recollections of their early schooling.
Principal Nicole Cochrane was ecstatic with the response to the day.
“I think the highlight for me was seeing many of these former school friends having the chance to enjoy each others’ company again,” she said.
“It is just wonderful seeing people from all the different eras reconnecting after many years and enjoying talking about their time together.
“The school records and photo boards have been scattered around the school and they are proving very popular.
“It has been an extremely successful event. Many people are enjoying looking over the old school files.
“As well, former students or teachers that we didn’t have names for in some photographs have been able to be named – so we are filling in the gaps in some of those old photos.”
The school principal said it was also wonderful to meet many of the generations that had come through the school.
“This is a great school,” she added.
The quasquicentenary celebration were held on Saturday, September 22.
