Physie is a synchronised, team-based sport which incorporates low impact dance and aerobic activity.
The last time a team from Camden Haven placed was in 1998.
Intermediate team member Lydene Heslop said she was ecstatic when she found out the news.
“It was insane,” she said.
“It’s hard to describe the feeling, it was amazing.”

The nine ladies who make up the team have been training together since February, under the guidance of their teacher Kate Tanner.
Team members were Katherine Asquith, Lorraine Myers, Tammy Middlemiss, Selena Ewart, Jaala Buckmaster, Lydene Heslop, Karen Hanna, Kristy Potts and Brooke Mason.
Lydene said it was a remarkable achievement, considering all members of the team started physical culture as adults.
The ladies learnt five different routines and competed against other clubs in the zone.
Lydene thanked the ladies’ coach Kate Tanner for her patience and support.
