The many villages that make up our region all have their own personalities and unique character, and we’ve certainly seen our community develop into a culturally diverse place to live.
One of our most popular coastal villages Bonny Hills, is currently buzzing with activity driven by the local community in partnership with council.
A plan which outlines the community’s vision for the area, has been completed, and the new community planning process that was undertaken is now being rolled out in other communities across our region.
This weekend, a community celebration – with the theme past, present and future – will come to life in Bonny Hills.
There’s a moonlight movie on Friday night, games and entertainment for children, market stalls showcasing local businesses, craft, produce, music, demonstrations and dance performances. I encourage everyone to head down to Bonnys and join in the fun.

Small Business Month
If it wasn’t for small businesses in our region, our local economy would not be as strong as it is today. They are the lifeblood of our community providing jobs and much needed products and services.
To celebrate the contribution and achievements of small business, owners are invited to be inspired by one of Australia’s top business minds at celebrations for NSW Small Business Month in October.
On Wednesday, October 3, council’s co-working space The Hub will host lunchtime and evening talks by inspiring entrepreneur and business owner Mathew Dickerson.
If you’re looking for some business inspiration and want to network with other like-minded business owners I encourage you to come along. Tickets are $10, and places are filling fast. For more and to buy your tickets visit pmhc.nsw.gov.au/small-business-month.
