The market is Laurieton Public School’s major fundraiser and organised by committee members from the school’s P&C.
People enjoyed browsing stalls with plants, art, craft, handicrafts, tasting food and produce. There was live music and performances from buskers.
The Camden Haven Concert Band musicians impressed their audience by playing a number of nostalgic tunes.
The event proved to be popular with families from the local region and afar. One family came from Adelaide to experience the market buzz.
There was a children’s corner with a bouncy castle, other rides and face painting.
Children loved their balloon designs of hats, heart sticks and swords.
In the past the event has helped fund school reading material, robotics programs, computers and excursions.
The fundraising event has been running for over 40 years and is held annually for Easter and in October.
