Cynthia passed away after battling cancer.
The funeral is at the Camden Haven Anglican Church, Mission Terrace from 12pm. The service will be followed by light refreshments at the Laurieton United Services Club’s sports bar.
Cynthia’s daughter Jacqui said her mother’s death was devastating, however she was now at peace.
“She suffered for too long,” she said.
Cynthia passed away at home with her family by her side.
In lieu of flowers, Jacqui said her mum requested a donation to palliative care and Silver Chain.
“She would love for everyone to wear colours (to the service) if possible,” she said.
Cynthia was very active within the Camden Haven community. She was involved in clubs including touch football, the surf club, netball and swimming club. Cynthia was also involved in the Chamber of Commerce, iKew and Laurieton Public School P&C.
The Camden Haven community rallied behind the Smith family and a fundraising page was launched to help pay for bills and medical expenses.
Before she passed away, Cynthia said she was grateful for the community’s support.
