Promising talent: Chloe Eichmann in action during last year's Junior State Cup. She led the way in Laurieton Hotel's 3-2 win last week.

It was the masters and their apprentices providing the performance of the round in this week’s Port Macquarie touch football premier league competition.

Laurieton Hotel are a mixture of experienced state level players in Julie Seward, Louise Budnick and Cath Eichman and some of the best young players in the area in Sarah Stewart, Chloe Eichmann, Ava Sinclair and Claire McLaughlin.

It was this combination that shone with a brilliant 3-2 win over Baker IT who themselves are littered with talent.

Nakita Binge grabbed a hat-trick for McGrath as they beat Kev Budnick Roof Repairs 7-1.

The remaining women’s premier league match saw Anna Lewis and Kelly McHugh each bag a double as JKM proved too strong for Watsons Caravans 6-1.

The men’s premier league also produced some entertaining match ups this week with none better than the top of the table clash between Social Grounds and Port Workwear.

It was a seesawing affair early with Jack Chapman and Tommy Brennan crossing for Workwear and Tyrell Scott and Jarod Thomas for Social Grounds.

However the class of Tristian Wright-Scott proved too much for Workwear as he grabbed a double on the way to a 4-2 victory.

Jacob Prince grabbed two tries and helped steer an undermanned Chocky Territory to a 5-3 win over Evolution Road Wealth.

Rupert Snyman was in form for Evolution Road scoring another double but it wasn’t quite enough in a fast and entertaining match.

Jordan Morris led the way for Adenbrook Homes in a comfortable 5-0 win over a spirited Coastal Commercial Linings.

Jett Fletcher continued his try scoring run with a hat-trick in Luke Bullus Paintings’ 8-3 win over the Port 55’s in the social competition.

While it was a Mitchell Hibbot hat-trick that helped The Bunch record a 7-2 victory against Ricardo’s Tomatoes.

It was a tryathon in the women’s social competition as Mandy McKinnon and Ashley Thomas combined for nine tries between them in El Paso Motor Inn’s decisive 10-2 win over the Socialites.

While a Fernando Chermeeka hat-trick helped guide Constables Printing to a 7-0 win over the Salty Pretzels.

This week’s matches of the round sees Chocky Territory play Coastal Commercial Linings in the battle of the youngsters in the men’s premier league.

McGrath and Watsons Caravans will fight it out in the women’s division.
